You need right players to play tactics well. Spain had some off form players and a weak defense this WC. The coach put loyalty over ability by sticking to those same players and that which ultimately cost them.

Benching Villa and persisting with Costa despite him being way ward throughout the first half. Torres was sent in late in both games. Him or Mata should have replaced Costa right after the HT. This might be it for Bosque.
