Gopal Subramaniam prepared the affidavit questioning the existence of Lord Ram which is music to anti-Hindus who are defending him.
Bas bhi karo dost. ASI submitted the affidavit, lawyers merely draft them to legalese. The contents of the draft are based on the person/organization who wants to file it not the lawyer. Now, anyone who defends Subramaniam is an anti-Hindu and Lord Ram hater. :WTF:

Read what he did : He prepared the affidavit.
Preparing the affidavit means, preparing it in a format for court assimilation. The signatory of the affidavit is ASI which means the people who swear under oath that "Lord Ram didn't exist" are the ASI officials who signed the affidavit. Subramaniam's duty is to represent his clients which in this case was the Union Government of India.

He tries to spread the blame, but admits working for six days and nights to come up with the atrocious affidavit.

Asked whether the affidavit along with the objectionable references were prepared by his office, the ASG told The Indian Express, "Not true." "The affidavit was a result of inputs from all concerned. It was a team effort. We worked for six days and nights continuously to arrive at the document," he said.
Even if his charitable explanation is accepted, the man is unfit on the basis of incompetence alone.

ASI in its affidavit filed through ASI Director (monuments) C Dorjee stated, "The petitioners while seeking relief have primarily relied upon the contents of the Valimiki Ramayana, the Ram Charit Manas by Tulsidas and mythological texts, which formed an important part of ancient Indian literature, but which cannot be said to be historical records to incontrovertibly prove the existence of the characters or the occurrence of the event, depicted therein."

Soni, who returned from a visit to Japan on Friday, has set up the inquiry so that responsibility can be fixed for the affidavit filed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the Supreme Court, official sources said.

Yaar, please sip a glass of cool water or have an ice-cream - think about it calmly. Then, say Jai Shri Ram and think about how Ram would have thought in this situation. Compadre? A lawyer's job is to draft an affidavit based on their clients inputs. In this case, one of the clients was ASI and other was Union Govt of India. The lawyer's job is to merely compile the inputs and convert it for court assimilation ease. In fact, AFAIK if the lawyer changes the content of an affidavit against the client's will he can be barred from practicing law and also be tried for forgery. In this case, Subramaniam was "too competent" rather than incompetent because he accurately represented the inputs of his clients in the affidavit. The same reason why ASI officials were kicked out rather than Subramaniam.

The moron was given a draft affidavit, but he went ahead and prepared fresh, despicable affidavit.

According to official sources, when the PIL was in Madras High Court (later transferred to the Supreme Court), the Culture Ministry had prepared a draft affidavit and sent it to the ASG. Subramaniam, however, prepared a fresh affidavit to be submitted to the Supreme Court. It was the new affidavit that courted controversy. http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/ram-sethu-soni-faces-jairam-s-arrow/217350/0

The moron was given a draft affidavit' date=' but he went ahead and prepared fresh, despicable affidavit.[/quote'] Once again you are hell bent on sticking to dubious claims which start with "According to sources". In any ways, there is no evidence to suggest that the 1st affidavit did not contain the same content as the so called 2nd affidavit. In addition, like mentioned more the 1000th time - "drafting an affidavit" has got little to do with the message and more to do with accumulation of content from multiple sources for court assimilation. You have completely subverted the main issue to a religious one. One thing to have a political allegiance, totally different to indulge skullduggery. You start spewing venom against any person which questions your personal religious faith. Before calling out names to other people, have a look into the mirror.

The storm after the calm Mewat was an island of harmony before manufactured communal polarisationcame to be seen as a shortcut to political power

It’s late in the evening and I am at the house of the local Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh head, a respected doctor, in Tauru town of Mewat district in Haryana. The market outside is shut, even though curfew has been lifted. Scattered huddles of men sitting outside closed shutters talk softly among themselves. The town has been wracked by communal violence and Hindu shopkeepers are unwilling to open the market until the administration apprehends the culprits and seizes the weapons with which they were attacked on June 8. A clutch of RSS supporters explain their point of view as I wait for the doctor to come. Slowly, they leave one by one; the doctor has still not come. “You won’t get anymore than what we have told you,” one man says. I realise that the good doctor will remain elusive. The next communal flashpoint? Earlier, in another part of the town, a group of Muslims, worrying over the rabble-rousing activities of their Muslim leaders, said that this is the outcome of the Lok Sabha elections as the Meo-Muslim belt of Haryana voted en masse on religious lines. “The Indian National Lok Dal’s Muslim candidate, who polled more than two lakh votes from the three Muslim-dominated Assembly segments of Gurgaon parliamentary constituency, is now instigating Muslims in the villages by telling them that they are wearing bangles like women,” says Ramzan Chaudhary, a social activist. Even when the worst of communal conflagrations rocked the country, Mewat (or the land of Meos), spreading across Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, remained an island of harmony. But that was before manufactured communal polarisation came to be seen as a shortcut to political power. A few days ago, a routine road accident in which a Hindu boy was killed led to a riot. The unrest was further fuelled by false rumours of the deaths of two Muslims, who were beaten up in retaliatory action. In the ensuing mayhem, a mosque was burnt and shops were broken and looted. Muslims fired upon Hindus in Tauru market, which remained shut for more than a week. Those who were taken aback by the fury and speed with which the communal hatred spread are beginning to understand why an end to the tension is not likely anytime soon. Indeed, as Assembly elections approach in Haryana, this area — densely populated by Sunni Muslims — has become particularly vulnerable, leading to speculation about how this could be the next communal flashpoint after Muzaffarnagar. Two things took place immediately after the clashes. First, as soon as curfew was imposed, the Deputy Commissioner forbade any elected MLA or MP from visiting Tauru town and imposed Section 144. Second, when leaders arranged to meet the affected people in villages around the town, they only met with people of their own community. Just as Gurgaon MP and Union Minister Rao Inderjit and State BJP president Ram Bilas Sharma met a group of Hindus in Pathrehri village some seven kilometres from the town, Zakir Hussain of the INLD and other Mulsim leaders are visiting only people from their community. A comment reportedly made by a BJP leader to Hindus — “ Tension lene ka nahin, tension dene ka waqt aa gaya hai ” (It’s not time to be tensed, it is time to spread tension) — is being repeated in both Muslim and Hindu circles of the area. Aam Aadmi Party party leader Yogendra Yadav, who lost the election from Gurgaon, is the only politician who could be seen moving from house to house in Tauru, meeting members of both the communities. “It is a sad commentary on the nature of politics today that politicians are seen as part of the problem and are being asked to stay away,” Mr. Yadav says. “What faith can the elected representatives inspire when they are not reaching out to members of both the communities?” Tauru town is largely Hindu-dominated, but is surrounded by Muslim villages. Scratch the hatred on the surface and Muslims proudly point at Hindu women from the town walking to Muslim villages to get their daily quota of milk. “We have always co-existed in peace; even the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992 did not affect our ties,” says Mr. Chaudhary. Hindus and Muslims fought together against the British during the revolt of 1857. There was no communal violence during the Partition either. The region has a common cultural legacy. Till a few years ago, Meos used to celebrate festivals like Dussehra, Holi and Diwali. Some of the older people in the town can still sing folk songs associated with these Hindu festivals. Mr. Chaudhary points out, “We are all converts. Meos, like the Hindus, follow the gotra system while fixing matrimonial alliances.” Deployment of forces Advocate Hashim Khan is categorical when he says that the “violence has been orchestrated by Hindutva elements to polarise the situation in the run-up to the Assembly election.” However, Tek Chand Saini, a trader, points to the sense of security provided to them by central forces, deployed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. “It is only because of the BJP government at the Centre that we have some security now. The local administration has no answer as to how the Muslim villagers were in possession of hundreds of illegal weapons. Crime has gone up manifold. The police never registers a case when we complain of thefts by unemployed Muslims.” The Deputy Commissioner of Mewat district that has six Muslim-dominated blocks has sought permanent deployment of central forces in the district in view of the coming Assembly elections. While that may have a salutary effect on the troublemakers and help prevent overt violence, everyone is unanimous in predicting that the subterranean chasms sought to be created in this fragile society will widen in the coming days.

BJP's treatment of Gopal Subramanium is a dark sign of things to come http://www.firstpost.com/politics/bjps-treatment-of-gopal-subramanium-is-a-dark-sign-of-things-to-come-1589973.html?utm_source=hp

There couldn't have been a more crude and small minded approach by the State apparatus to put down a candidate's nomination as a judge of Supreme Court. The campaign of innuendoes by CBI and Intelligence Bureau against Gopal Subramanium has indeed left a bad taste and will not enhance the image of the government. Former Solicitor General of India Gopal Subramanium. Former Solicitor General of India Gopal Subramanium. The manner in which the BJP government blocked Subramanium's nomination to the Supreme Court is a harbinger of how it will possibly use its brute power in the near future. Clearly, the issue goes beyond an individual judge now and the whole episode could even be an early sign of what might be described as the "Gujaratisation" of the highest judiciary. It is plain to the naked eye that sheer use of political power by the Gujarat executive in the past ten years had resulted in a certain loss of public confidence in the entire investigation and judicial system in that state. It was that loss of confidence that had resulted in many critical cases -- starting from those of the riot victims -- being transferred by the Supreme Court to places outside the state. If such a thing were to happen countrywide, god alone knows where this will lead us. One hopes better sense will prevail among those wielding the levers of power. The killing in an alleged fake encounter of Sohrabuddin, his wife and later Tulsiram Prajapati, who was the sole witness, was one of the many cases which the Supreme Court brought out of Gujarat to ensure a fair investigation and trial. Subramanium has said in an interview that it was entirely by chance that the SC bench asked him to become an amicus in the case. Gopal says he was sitting in the court waiting to argue some other case when the judges, hearing the Sohrabuddin matter, asked him impromptu whether he would assist the court in that case. He agreed and did it commendably by bringing to light the Amit Shah link in the case. Indeed, if Gopal hadn't been present there, he may not have got that responsibility. It is clear that the Amit Shah link is what has created so much heat. Now the BJP government seems to be giving out a signal that its mandate in the 2014 general elections gives it the license to politicise all that the Supreme Court has done so far in relation to several Gujarat cases. There appears to be a mistaken thinking that the mandate itself might dilute many of those cases. Remember, the BJP has made the "people's court" argument before. It is not a coincidence that when Subramanium's appointment was being questioned last week by the Centre, the Mumbai special court judge dealing with the Sohrabuddin matter was chiding Amit Shah's lawyer for seeking Shah's exemption from appearing in the court on rather thin grounds. Subsequently news came this week that the same Mumbai judge has been transferred. One doesn't know whether this is purely coincidental or another display of BJP's newly acquired power. Power itself is most effective when used with restraint. BJP has shown none of it in the month that they have been in power at the Centre. Gopal Subramanium was specially invited by the Chief Justice to become a judge of the Supreme Court. The other judges in the collegium also were unanimous in their choice of Subramanium. In fact, it may be pertinent to recall what the Chief Justice of a India, R.M.Lodha said about Subramanium in a personal commendation after Gopal resigned as Solicitor General in 2011 under the UPA regime. "It was a sad thing to learn that you have resigned from the position of Solicitor General of India. Not only that in every single case --in which you represent the Central Government and its functionaries -- was ably conducted by you but it also reflected your high character, sweet manners and single minded application,"- said Justice Lodha. Justice Lodha's comments are diametrically opposite to what State agencies like CBI and IB are now suggesting, clearly as an afterthought. What is most intriguing is the same CBI and IB have had the highest regard for Gopal's competence and integrity as they have consulted him on their most sensitive cases for two decades, including during the previous NDA regime. The NDA had even entrusted to him the Parliament attack case. The ex Chief Justice of India with impeccable reputation, Mr S.H.Kapadia, also wrote to Gopal, saying in his 21 years as a judge in the Mumbai High court and Supreme Court, "I have not come across a more competent, erudite and scholastic law officer as Gopal Subramanian. I say this with all authenticity at my command". He further added, " I wish to put on record that you have served this country as Solicitor General for which the people of this country should be eternally indebted to you". Mind you, such high praise from the ex CJI is being followed currently by small minded questioning of his character and personal spiritual pursuits by the State agencies. One had thought a big electoral mandate would be followed by some vision and generosity of spirit which should normally define a healthy democratic tradition. But instead we are witnessing, and rather early in the tenure of this government, a low cunning and scant respect for an institution such as the Supreme Court. It will be interesting to see how the SC responds to this new challenge on the horizon.
Shameful from NDA govt. to say the least. These were the fears which were expressed by many people during election campaign but bhakts tried to put them down as fear-mongering. Now all these coming true and so soon.

Yes the biggest fear voters had was that BJP will not let a Congress man be SC judge.
 Special Prosecutor for CBI during the Mumbai Blasts 1993 Appeared as a Special Prosecutor against the Parliament attack terrorists literally risking his life Appeared for Maharashtra government against Ajmal Kasab for Re.1/- Exposed the loot at the Padmanabhaswamy Temple as an Amicus Curaie in which he spent nearlyRs.1Cr/- out of his own pocket Drafted crucial amendments to laws after the Nirbhaya Rape incident to protect women and young children Looks like your trolling habits haven't left in spirit, after the moral lecture you gave in the LS elections thread.

Bhai DM... I can understand what you are saying and ideally would like BJP to act neutral and give good governance... But there's no level playing field... ABV tried to give good governance. Can you guarantee that Congress will provide neutral governance? They've ruled the country for so many years. How many chances Opposition parties will get to rule India? Even after getting minimal chances, why it's expected that only parties like BJP should provide neutral governance while Congress can get away with murder? Let BJP do whatever possible in first 5 years to 'make level play field' as much as possible. Let Congress be under the cosh for some time. Let it struggle a bit... As far as GS is concerned, he over-reacted. He should've waited for the Collegium to react to the Govt's diktat... He went to the town, started blaming the Govt. and behind the scene players etc. He should've kept quite and see if the collegium backs him or not. He over-reacted too soon... There is so much of suspicion and Modi & his team have been under attack for so many years, it'll take time for them to become neutral and start believing people like GS...

The biggest jaahiliyat is that the Admin of most popular forum of Indian Cricket worldwide, ICF calls the democratically elected PM of India a Zahil and also the majority of Indian who supports including Mr Narayan Murthy, Ratan Tata as a Zahil. He even had gorn to the extent of calling the democratically elected PM of India a Ma**** *od because of an alleged news that he saved some people of Gujarat and then removed the whole thread. Biggest Jaahiliyat is taking jibe on someone because of their humble background. Including the PM of India and the Captain of Indian Cricket Team. Thinking that only Howard educated can run the country is bigger jaahiliyat. Jaahiliyat is not having a single bit of information of work been done at ground level, thinking of himself as a big political pundit and then writing things like , "Even Sonia's dog will get more vote than Modi", Opening a thread and claiming that as per his political knowledge NDA will get not more than 180 seats. And after being proven wrong hide ,run away and come back after one month with same venom. Jaahiliyat is spreading hatred among Indians and trying to paint India in wrong brush by using the sentences like, "killing of muslims everyday after this government has come into power". Jaahiliyat is calling Arjun Singh, the person who brought reservation at higher level education a good HRD Minister.
LOL! What a bunch of crap and lies. Understandable, given that you cannot counter the points raised by me, so start a tirade against me. It is standard operating procedure for people like you - feel free to indulge yourself more.
