King
So much for the statement by the Lankans they are not worried about the pace and bounce they choose to bowl first. Expect a 500 run first inning by the Aussies. Lankans have chickened out. I hope they prove me wrong. Link to comment

DesiChap
they dropped malinga for maharoof???? wtf? malinga is a matchwinner! They probably wanted to strengthen their tail. Mahroof has been bowling well and probably deserved the nod ahead of Malinga Link to comment

Ram
Here's the radar view for the Brisbane area. http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR662.loop.shtml Looks quite bad, there is a steady stream of clouds coming from the North-East from the oceans. P.S - So, in Queensland, there is a Texas, Inglewood and even a place called Logan ( which is also a town in Utah):D Link to comment
Donny
Actually, mm, it's coming from the north west. Big difference. If you look south of Brisbane, you'll see a little town called Kyogle. I live 30 kms west of there. Australia 0/14 in the 7th. over. Link to comment

Yes i see Kyogole. Cool, looks like there are cool beaches near your place ! Link to comment

I'm only 90 minutes drive from the coast and the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay (Cape Byron) and Ballina. If I head north from there, I'm on the Gold Coast. Another hour north is Brisbane and the Gabba - so called because it's in a suburb called Woolloongabba. Link to comment
ali0786
Why would they leave out Malinga for Maharoof! Especially when cricinfo says this for the pitch: Australia were sent in on pitch with green tinges. I'm pretty sure they will regret making this mistake Link to comment
Donny
They didn't know who would win the toss. Generally, the Gabba wicket becomes very good for batting as early as the first afternoon. As Malinga is something of a loose cannon, he could've been a liability, especially if SL batted first. Link to comment
