SlenderFrame
He was obviously playing really badly with the gloves and bat. The comments here have just rammed it home just how badly. Anyone else coming in can only be good news (and bad news for Ganguly) Link to comment
Ram
Seriously , Axing Akmal and asking Hameed to keep wickets is like selling this car, And buying this one, The first one used to be a good car that is now in bad shape. The second one isnt even a car to begin with. We all know what can happen then. Link to comment

Chandan
Akmal not ruled out for remaining ties: Talat Ali Karachi (PTI): The Pakistan team management on Tuesdaysaid they have not ruled out struggling wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal for the remaining two one-dayers in the five-match series against India, despite his finger injury. Pakistan team manager Talat Ali said since there was a rest period of three days before the fourth ODI in Gwalior, Akmal had enough time to recover. "He had some practice in the nets on Monday and is also getting treatment for his injury. So we are not ruling him out completely for the last two games," Talat told PTI. He said the tour-selection-committee had also called up Sarfraz Ahmed as a back-up keeper, who will join the team today. "We will have choice if Kamran is not able to make a proper recovery," he said. Sources in the team said that the national selection committee wanted the team management to try young Sarfraz because of Akmal's poor form. Another source added that Akmal had the backing of skipper Shoaib Malik and the tour-selection-committee. ------------------------------------------------------ Apparently Malik said that Akmal was still the number one keeper in his country and team would be patient with his form which is bound to return sooner than later, according to him. MundaPakistani
Apparently Malik said that Akmal was still the number one keeper in his country and team would be patient with his form which is bound to return sooner than later, according to him. He lost his form on the ENG tour and it hasn't returned since. Normally the selectors don't give players a consistent chance but here is a case where a player desperately needs some time off. Have him in the squad but don't have him in the team. Link to comment
