i know some wth this disease there are various stages but after a point you are dependent on others to even stand up and things like even picking glass can be hard and typing accurately is probably one of the hardest thing to do

A benefit match or series will be good, IMO. I dont think with Parkinson, he can be a coach or do commentary. It will not be easy for him.

CSA should have recruited their Ex players as mentors/coach for their local T20 teams like we do :agree: It would have helped him in the beginning.

Parkinson's is dangerous disease. It's worst slow death ever. Your brain cells will slowly and you will gradually loose control your senses in the later stages and people will be mostly bedridden also their is no cure for Parkinson's.

When a cricketer of his caliber is finding it difficult to make a livelihood, aged 70 and fighting parkinson. And when he has specifically asked for help, we should definitely help him. Otherwise it will be a shame for a genuine cricket loving nation. Everyone enjoys a lara innings as much as west indians do. So nationality should not be a barrier. As few suggested above, a benefit match between ind and sa will be the best possible way if his physical condition is not that good to be a coach or consultant.

Well......some people would rather have him suffer than have the BCCI help him just because he said a few things against India a few years ago.
