Uh, no. It's pretty simple. The Captain has control on the field. If a bowler can't/won't bowl economically at times then that bowler isn't likely to see the field. Especially one who is stupid enough to state that openly in the media.

Try asking an Ajmal or a Murali to bowl defensively and see where they end up. Trying to change what is natural to a bowler is the biggest crime a captain can commit. Ashwin (and lots of other bowlers) were wicket takers when they came into the team

Dhoni's captaincy in this test has been very very poor , defeatist , one win in three years and poor people thought he will change dreamers eh!

Sometimes I feel like quitting watching cricket after watching Dhoni captaining India. It is unbearable at times and deeply frustrating during others.
