Mr. Wicket Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Vettori won the toss and opted to bat. Last I heard he's still trying to name the last few members of his XI, as the touring party seems to be running out of people capable of getting through the next 2 days of cricket without breaking down.
Mr. Wicket Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 The least they could have done is play How. The NZ top order is good for nothing, but a few fun jokes could always be made with Cumming and How. :D
Mr. Wicket Posted November 16, 2007 Author Posted November 16, 2007 This is some of the worst test batting I've seen in a while. In the last ten minutes, there've been some quite ridiculous shots played, like Lou Vincent throwing his bat at wide balls and luckily getting enough for his edge to clear the slip/gully cordon, Craig Cumming trying to hook a bouncer wide outside off stump with his top edge just falling wide of mid on, and then Vincent wildly swinging and trying to pull every ball Nel's banged in short - once getting the toe of the bat to connect, with the ball just landing a few inches short of the slips. Somehow both are still in and it's 45/1, but I expect wickets to fall soon if this brainless approach continues.
Donny Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 2/88 as Vincent (33) tries to hook Steyn. Caught by Harris.
Dirty_South Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Cumming gets hit on his cheek .... Retired Hurt. Styris in
apocalypse Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Cumming gets hit on his cheek .... Retired Hurt. Styris in already there were less injuries
apocalypse Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Taylor's quick fireworks are over Spectacular catch by Prince
apocalypse Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Another devastating spells by Steyn New Zealand: 187/8
Cricketics Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 No Idea was has happend to nz... THIS IS Total disappointment.. i mean there main regular players aren't able to put a 300+ score together..
sm332 Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 some piss poor batting from the 15 overs i watched this morning .... some pretty tepid tests going on as we speak .... i hope india-pak is more engaging and fun to watch
Donny Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Century for Kallis. His 29th. 143 balls. 5 in his last 7 innings. 2/220. Kallis 106* Amla 71*
Gambit Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Forget Ponting overtaking SRT. Kallis will overtake both of them if he keeps this up. Century number 29! 5 100s in the last 4 tests!
Gambit Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 How NZ can allow a batsman like Amla to inch toward a second consecutive 100 is beyond me.
sm332 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 seems like a bloody good innings by Kallis ... and possibly his quickest one yet ..... he seems refreshed after his break
