Waiitng for replacements will never work. So what if a new captain flops? We will replace him. Right now we have reached the lowest point. It can only get better.

Some captains become stale. We play 2 test series between now and the World Cup,so that is 6 tests a good enough run to see if the next test captain is good enough. Dhoni can be the odi captain till the World Cup . One thing that might work against Ashwin though is that 4 out of those 6 tests will be played in aus. Pujara is another option but the world cup fever will begin soon and here is a guy trying desperately trying to prove himself to be a part of the loi formats and is just coming back from a poor series,so how much will that weigh on his mind. Hopefully kohli gets back to being the odi legend he is so that will be a great start,if he finds form in the odi series may be wi will be a good opportunity. All 3 of these potential contenders have positives and negatives.....I think may be till the World Cup Ashwin can be given a run in tests and hope that kohli does well in aus.....wi there is a good chance he will score big in atleast one game for sure.
