India's ODI opening pair

I reckon instead of opening with ARSOL,we can try out Ashwin as an ODI opener.He likes playing his classic on the ground shots,will get better value for his shots in the first 10 overs. Rohit is better adapt at slogging at the end

Dhawan and Rahane should open with arsol coming in as a lower middle order slogger.

And who would you drop to have him at the top - Dhawan or Rohit. And why?

Dhawan is a hack. And I don't trust Rohit in Aus conditions. So try out all combos and see who is the best. I think Rahane would be the perfect guy for us to open in WC 2015. But must say right now he looks hopeless as No 4.

Interesting argument. WC is in Aus. The problem is that Ashwin's running is hopelessly bad and I don't know how he will perform when he is expected to score runs as a pure batsman (its a bit different from coming at No 8). Plus he is a compulsive hooker and not a good one at that. I mean he can smash a few and then get out just as easily trying for one more boundary.
