Marco Polo Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Make no mistake , both these guys have no talent whatsoever and I have no idea what Dhoni sees in these mediocre cricketers. For ****sake , replace them with better players. Its not that we don't have talents to replace them, its pure stupidity to carry these players for wc. I swear to god that Mohit Sharma will get a place in the playing 11 if he is selected in the 15 member squad.
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 There are better bets available but mohit and rayudu are not as bad as people are making them out to be.
rahulrulezz Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Basically they are not cut for team India. They are just not match winners. KJadhav is the guy who shook be drafted in the team. Rayadu, Rahane, Rohit are all jus above average players who are accumulators. Need match winners in for a team with population of 1.3 billion people Sad part is most are ok with ok players representing our Indian team. Above post proves my point
Lord Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 agree about Rayudu. Not sure about Mohit with other options there.Everyone we tried gets smacked.Need to try Bumrah and Pandey

JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I do believe we have better players in the domestic circuit like Jadhav Bumrah Kuldeep yadav etc especially jadhav for reasons only known to the selectors continues to be ignored but at the same time some of us are too harsh on these two especially rayudu
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 There are better bets available but mohit and rayudu are not as bad as people are making them out to be. Rayudu scored at a strike rate of 78 on Australia A tour when jadhav, Vohra and Samson were striking over 80 or 100 and all three had similar or much better averages than Rayudu...yet Rayudu is the one with the International Cap, Why? Rayudu's first class record is also mediocre , 36 average in list A and an average in mid 40s in FC Rayudu is as bad or even worse as people are making him out to be
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Also to add to this, Rayudu's t20 strike rate is 121 , even Askhar patel has a strike rate of 141 This guy is an epitome of mediocrity . he is not even a good fielder , mediocre in every department He should be kicked out as soon as possible
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 To further elaborate my point, Harbhajan Singh averages 16 with the bat at strike rate of 141 whereas Rayudu averages 23 with a strike rate of 121, Harbhajan the batsman is more valuable in T20 than Rayudu, I know we are talking about ODIs but I made this point to show the level of his mediocrity , the guy can't hit even if his life depended on it.
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 To further Press upon my point, Hemang Badani ( a guy who was mediocre in every sense of the word) has a better strike rate and better List A average than this buffoon
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Also another point to note is that this joker is 28 years old, he is not young anymore, he is not going to improve, this is his peak
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Rayudu scored at a strike rate of 78 on Australia A tour when jadhav, Vohra and Samson were striking over 80 or 100 and all three had similar or much better averages than Rayudu...yet Rayudu is the one with the International Cap, Why? Rayudu's first class record is also mediocre , 36 average in list A and an average in mid 40s in FC Rayudu is as bad or even worse as people are making him out to beTime and again he's shown it in ipl that he can score at a better rate when needed and he did make good use of whatever chances he got in the Indian team and has an ODI avg over 40 and before you complain abt his sr did score at a good rate in the final odi against england probably the only time he was in a situation to score at quick rate
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I could go on and on , but I guess you guys get the point, Every time I see this guy on Tv I feel like punching my TV set, the very fact that he got to play so many international games makes me sick
Lord Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Time and again he's shown it in ipl that he can score at a better rate when needed and he did make good use of whatever chances he got in the Indian team and has an ODI avg over 40 and before you complain abt his sr did score at a good rate in the final odi against england probably the only time he was in a situation to score at quick rate 53 off 65 is not good enough when RRR is above 7
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Time and again he's shown it in ipl that he can score at a better rate when needed and he did make good use of whatever chances he got in the Indian team and has an ODI avg over 40 and before you complain abt his sr did score at a good rate in the final odi against england probably the only time he was in a situation to score at quick rate You can't defend his strike rate, he is an Indian version of Misbah , he will tuk tuk his way and build pressure and then get out while slightly improving his strike rate, useless innings
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Time and again he's shown it in ipl that he can score at a better rate when needed and he did make good use of whatever chances he got in the Indian team and has an ODI avg over 40 and before you complain abt his sr did score at a good rate in the final odi against england probably the only time he was in a situation to score at quick rate And LOL at 40 average, just look at his averages against each country and the no. of matches he has played. That 40 average is not fooling anyone
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 And on why he got the cap ahead of jadhav, no matter how many come and go it seems Indian selector cant always pick the best that is available. Now he is 29 and by the time one of our selectors wants to him a chance others would say he is too old and he will retire even before debuting for India :giggle:
game_changerr Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 problem is we wasted two years(2011 wc win to b4 champions trophy 2013),,,,,theus we dont have much options available
kira Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Time and again he's shown it in ipl that he can score at a better rate when needed and he did make good use of whatever chances he got in the Indian team and has an ODI avg over 40 and before you complain abt his sr did score at a good rate in the final odi against england probably the only time he was in a situation to score at quick rate Also note that I have already proved that Akshar patel and Bhajji are better IPL bats than this joker:giggle:
JaFanatic Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 53 off 65 is not good enough when RRR is above 7 If you watched the match you would know was going after the bowler after a scratchy start the intent was clear and he was getting boundaries at the right time but got out at the wrong time. On the other side Dhoni's batting didn help him either he was under extra pressure due to Dhoni typical cool batting
