I think the thinking was that they were looking for good domestic batsman of which there are not many Sarfaraz, Jalaj, Sammy, Milne (RCB's continuing obsession with pacers) and even Wiese are good buys Price paid for Dinesh karthik, Sean Abbott seems high They could have gone with CM Gautham (don't now why they wont go for Karnataka players) and got Amla (who is a big asset for his strength in playing spinners )
