CoverDrive Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 i dont get the point of trial in the ODIs with SL we are close to World cup we need to finalize the playing XI it would have been good to get Dhawan get more runs as he was hitting form. so if Uthappa gets a 50 in the remaining 2 matchs or Vinay kumar takes a couple of wickets what will that do

CoverDrive Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 not many complaints there choice of XI will be interesting. batting wont change much unless they go with Raina over Rohit. bowling lineup of Ishant, Umesh, SHami , Karn would be good but they will go with bhuvi and Ashwin with Karn and Shami missing out

Throw him right in, none of this needs 2 more years bs this is real way to develop young players not have them bully Ranji teams. And he has earnt it he won't be anymore liable than any other opener and may fire too. Dhawan KL Rahul Pujara Kohli Rahane Rohit Dhoni Jadeja- karn not good enough, can't expect wickets from non leggie, can't play 4 quicks incase injury, need 1 to bowl lots, keep runs down, not ideal strategy but there's nothing better. Shami Umesh Ishant Aaron the main back up before Bhuvi. Pumped up for this series! 4-0 India :ohyeah:

With Rohit's inclusion almost certain, it looks like a toss up between Uthappa and Jadhav for an additional batsman in the tri-series squad

Not in test series .But in practice sessions tour matches indoor facilities etc. Will be much better for him than playing test in India . Obviously he should be nowhere near the first team XI .
