Ram
Is not all that black and white me thinks. He hasnt bowled a ball in this test and somehow, he doesnt look a test-class batsman to me. How hard is it to captain a team that has been losing consistently ? Even worse , how harder could it be to captain a side where your own place and role is under a cloud ? Watch this space, If India beat Pakistan in this series, I expect Malik to cop a fair bit. There have already been many in Pakistan itself who are questioning his captaincy and place in the team. gs
Malik might as well ask for asylum in India and settle down here after the series if Pak lose this test series. the brickbats/criticisms for enraged fans and emergency at home makes asylum an attractive proposition. Link to comment
MundaPakistani
I think after the series you will find A Kamal coming in for Malik. Link to comment
The Outsider
^ That would be good for Pakistan cricket, MP. He was one batsman from Pakistan among the newer ones to have a good technique and was reasonably calm and collected. He could not build upon some of the starts he got, but would have improved with time. But I guess Woolmer's and Inzamam's fixation with multi-dimension cricketers even in Test cricket like Malik, Afridi, and Razzaq put him out of contention. Link to comment

kabira
YK will become captain and this time PCB will beg him to lead.. Link to comment

Bumper
Bro' date=' can he hit a 200 metre six?[/quote'] Thats unfair bro. There are only two bros who can do that bro. One has retired from Test cricket & the other with the ICL, retired from all forms of cricket, bro. However Asim bro has talunt, bro, not to mention a decent unibro. Link to comment
PaiN_KiLLeR
he has a career avg of 35 with just 1 test century .. quite pathetic even guys like hameed, akmal etc are better test bats than him Link to comment

Gambit
Had Mohammed Wasim not taken NZ c'ship after being fed up of being ignored by the PCB, Butt and him would have made a reliable opening pair. Link to comment

He hardly ever bowls e.g today he had a perfect opportunity to bowl a few overs and exploit the rough yet he didn't bowl a single ball in the test match. So if Malik isn't going to bowl and we are looking for a specialist batsman then Asim Kamal is clearly a better option but for some inexplicable reason he isn't even in the squad. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
I think after the series you will find A Kamal coming in for Malik. I am still pondering why the hell was he dropped from Test squad after his impressive performance vs India when you guys last toured India. He is a fine fine prospect for pakistan and a solid middle order player. He's Misbah-esque but he does not fabricate new ways to get out :P Link to comment
