Mahaa Raavana
Rohit Sharma alone will take care of Lanka. FYI uncle ji,the world cup is not taking place on Indian highways..:icflove: You need classy and technically correct batsmen like Chandi,Thiri,Sanga & Mahela to perform on OZ tracks... Your FTB hacks like kooli and nohit would do zilch in WC 15..:hehe: Link to comment

termination
The lankans preparations for WC have badly been exposed. The kiwis are hammering them in 7 match odi series. The amount of cricket they have played leading to WC,some of their players might get tired and rusty. Link to comment

Sonix768
I agree with Dravid and Smith that this format is long and predictable. 1999 and 2003 WC format with Super 6 is the best one.. Two of the Big 8 countries are guaranteed exit form the first round and the points are carried forward to the next round, which makes all the group matches relevant and exciting. Now its just to decide which team to face in the Quarter Final. Link to comment

After what happened in 2007 WC, ICC will never going to take any risks. 2007 format was great on paper, possibility of top eight teams playing in Super 8. Unfortunately India & pak went out and WI was in decline. End of day TV revenue matters. Link to comment

bowl_out
2007 format pathetic but 2003 was great 2007 seemed great on paper, as people thought it would reduce the number of unnecessary matches involving associate teams... Backfired really badly Link to comment
