Don't know but i'm not feeling good about this cup, i'm fearing 2 big setbacks first is losing to pak which will end the streak and that because we will assume that the victory is given hence will get complacent, secondly i fear due to this loss we will end up as 3rd in our group and will more likely face Aus or Nz in QF and both these teams are hot favourites so can't see us beating them with the great bowling line up we have, so i would suggest my fellow indian members to not get there expectations too high too early, but still hope for the best.

Michael Clarke ‏@MClarke23 11m11 minutes ago While you sleep, I train. While you eat, I train. While you party, I train. February 21 is my goal!
Wish he wasn't near the squad. Just so much better without him there. Smith, Bailey, Mitch Marsh at 4-6 is better than Clarke hogging a spot. Hope he is ruled out.

His experience will come in handy.
Yeah him doing a hammy again will be a great experience. :hysterical: The side is unbalanced if Clarke plays. You have 2 AR's in the squad, they should both play. In Australia more than other conditions you need bowling options. Having Watson and Marsh in the top 6 as bowling options is much better than Clarke MAYBE getting 40 with the bat. I hope he doesn't play, reduces our bowling options which in turns increases the chance of Watson getting injured through over bowling.

I think we need a tradional type batsman in case of seaming decks, our team will have a crap load of firepower but if the conditions don't suit most of them will struggle, Clarke will play accordingly in tough conditions if they occur, and if they don't he can bang with the best of em anyway.

World Cup 2015 squads: average ages Only two squads' average age at World Cup 2015 is over 30: UAE and Sri Lanka. UAE have the two oldest players in the tournament, former captain Khurram Khan and newly-appointed leader Mohammad Tauqir, who, incidentally, are born on the same day: June 21, 1971. That means they'll start the tournament at 43+. The only other player over 40 in the tournament is Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haq. The youngest player in the tournament is 18-year-old Afghanistan batsman Usman Ghani, who was born on November 20, 1996. Bangladesh beat Afghanistan to the title of youngest team in the tournament by the narrowest of margins, averaging 25 to Afghanistan's 25.05. The average age, overall, at World Cup 2015 is 28.4. 203583.jpg

World Cup 2015 squads: most ODIs

Sri Lanka are by far the most experienced squad at World Cup 2015. In Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan, they have three of the four players in the tournament who have played more than 300 ODIs; Pakistan's Shahid Afridi is the fourth. Jayawardene is the only one with more than 400 (he had played 434 ODIs by the squad deadline day). That all adds up to Sri Lanka having played a whopping 757 ODIs more than the second most capped side, Pakistan. New Zealand, bolstered by Daniel Vettori and Brendon McCullum, come in at No. 3. Bangladesh, South Africa and England are the only Full Members to aggregate fewer than 1000 ODIs. Only three players were picked for the World Cup without having debuted in ODI cricket: Ireland pacer Peter Chase, and West Indies batsman Jonathan Carter and fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell.

World Cup 2015 squads: most ODI centuries

Unsurprisingly, Sri Lanka is the squad with the most ODI hundreds going into the World Cup. India come in second, but the surprise is at No. 3: as of squad deadline day, South Africa are placed third with an aggregate of 47 hundreds - just one shy of India - despite the fact that they are the second least-experienced Full Member at the tournament. Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle have the most ODI hundreds, with 21 apiece. Only six other players picked for the tournament have an ODI-centuries tally in double digits: Kumar Sangakkara, AB de Villiers, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Hashim Amla, Mahela Jayawardene and Ross Taylor.

World Cup 2015 squads: most ODI four-fors

Sri Lanka edge out stiff competition from England, New Zealand, West Indies and Australia as the team with the most four+ wicket hauls, as on squad deadline day. Bangladesh, with 22, are ahead of Pakistan and India, and just one shy of South Africa. Lasith Malinga (16) has almost half of Sri Lanka's 34 four-fors, while Shahid Afridi (13) has two-thirds of Pakistan's 19. The only other bowlers at the tournament with 10 or more four-fors in ODI cricket are England's James Anderson and Stuart Broad, and Australia's Mitchell Johnson.

this world cup format is a joke. Whats the use of the group stage matches anyways.
Can't help it... The alternate format was of 2007. Though it seemed good on paper, it turned out to be the worst format of all time. Particularly with India and Pakistan out early, and the endless Super Eight stage, people lost interest by the time they got to the semis... And to add, it was easily the Worst World Cup Final out of 10 that have happened.... 38 over match, further curtailed based on D/L
