Haan suma bhai, please explain this to me. I read the AK's blog but it was more of a tirade against TA/KM than an explanation of the movie. 1. K goes to Baba Bangali. 2. Baba doesn't really let him go(as shown to us) but continues to work on K's soul. K's soul thinks whatever is happening is happening in real life(brother's death, wife's disappearance, getting arrested, windscreen breaking etc etc) 3.This culminates in the part of the soul that wants to smoke being captured by Baba and put along with other souls where they take lava baths. 4.K's cleansed soul returns to his body and when he finally wakes up in the end, he notices he has two fingers missing. Have I got this right? Also what was the Russia angle about? And Ayesha being the secretary and the wife?

:cantstop: barabar . the bathtub is his world into dream/nightmare so in the second half when he goes for bath we hear ayesha takai in the bg lift door opening and we have her as a secretary .ayesha takia as secretary is his fantasy thats why the over the top look ,brother's death ayesha's death, all are dream sequences the russian angle: dont know why he chose russia exactly but the bathub is like a departure point into his dream/nightmare. so when he asks for explaination for bathtub in his dream to his shrink he says next time when he goes into a dream jump into the bathtub and when he does he realises that he is a man without a soul but by the the time he realises it he has already lost his two fingers when he wakes up from his dream .so its is assumed that he tried to smoke for the third time as well and his fingers got cut. thats how i interpreted it....

Hmm. How long was he asleep for? How does the 31st Dec midnight scene relate to all of this? I really want to understand this movie because I think it's a fantastic effort. Did he go in person to Baba Bengali at all? What about the scene where he didn't have a 1 rupee coin to call his body? LOL. This would sound so weird to someone who hasn't seen the movie.

wel he does meet baba bangali.did u watch after the credits he gets his fingers back and then refers baba bangalis name to some one on the phone. so he did meet baba bangali. the guy is a chain smoker so in the end when his soul is trapped with other souls in that incaretaion chamber he sees his actual body on the other side and realises that he is so obssessed with his smoking that andar se woh khokhla ho gaya hain as in he is a body without a soul; so then one rupee thing is like a metaphor for a minute in which he can actually make a decision which can chnage his life thats is to quit smoking. but since he doesnt have the change he sees his souless body being taken away by paresh rawal and takia. this is all his dream/nightmare he is in his sleep only in the initial part of the movie and then most of the second half. yea the midnight scene i didnt get it it was unecessary only he (director-anurag)knows why he put it there.the movie was very self indulgent /semi autobiographical .the k(john's character ) is loosely based on himself anurag kashyap.since he himself is a chain smoker
