He is injured, he won't play the IPLE unless he is 100% fit, comes straight from his mouth last week. The hamstring was practically torn off the bone.

Perhaps was coming back after an injury layoff..

Just because he has learned his craft in Australia. Indian cricketing culture just do not have fast bowling DNA. A few might bowl fast but that understanding of bowling is not there.

Starc and Hazelwood are v. good ODI bowlers as well, so it might be better to re-integrate Patto slowly, post-WC. The ODI game is 2.5 times the length of the T20.
