Kalia_Test Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Sounds like a reality show...not sure why the protests...it is not that anything is depicted that is not true...they might have dramatized a bit though...
jonas10 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 LOL Pakis cry at the reality. If anything homeland portrayed the country in a positive light. Its filmed in South Africa which is a much more prosperous country than Pakistan.

badmash Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Wow look at all these comments by people who don't live in Islamabad. Well, even if this depiction was true, it still is better then the slum dog depiction of India :giggle:

randomGuy Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Indians prefer to be poor people as compared to terrorists :giggle: Orangi town in karachi is the largest slum in asia as per UN http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/dharavi-not-asia-s-largest-slum-it-is-karachi-undp/article1-451013.aspx Pak has more percentage of underweight adults than india as per the UN. Has less GDP per capita. It goes to show that if you r both poor and a terrorists hub, then being a terror hub stands out to the world .

Well said...When India and Pak started the journey in 1947, both were in gutter...difference is that India looked at the sky and aimed to be better and come out of gutter but Pak continues to look at India and tries to sling mud on it Why blame the makers of the show?

Guldozer Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 If you guys don't have a problem with this then I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem if India is shown as a country with rapists in the corner of every street? Double standards.

Double standards. Why should we even have a problem when Pakistan is depicted in any way? Terrorist nation in this case, which we don't particularly disagree....I will even say that they moderated it...reality is worse... When India is depicted in a way not agreeable to us, we will do what we have to do...however, we ( atleast I ) will NOT go to a Pakistani forum and ask for support and accuse them of double standards if they don't support us... Truth hurts.... Well done producers of Homeland :hatsoff: takes guts to portray reality

I know for a fact that people in Pakistan don't talk to each other in Arabic and neither does every woman wear a burqa. People like you have been brainwashed since childhood through your media which is busy in propoganda 24/7 to portray Pakistan as it has been.

People like you have been brainwashed since childhood through your media which is busy in propoganda 24/7 to portray Pakistan as it has been. I have watched the show. Here are some observations: The pakistani people were heard talking in urdu (albeit in a heavy accented manner) and punjabi, and possibly pashto. And neither are all women in the show shown to wear burqaas or even a headscarf. At times, you can tell many of the people in the background (i.e on the streets, etc) are latinos, blacks, etc, though the prominent characters can easily be passed as pakistanis. The ISI and the pakistani government is seen to fool the americans wrt to capturing terrorists. And some sections of the ISI/government is also seen to be collaborating with whom the Americans classify as terrorists. Which parts of the show do you disagree with?
