But how can people have an opinion about what others should or will do? Can I have an opinion about people who believe in God, I do but I shouldn't lol I guess same can be said about political discussion but this has impact on only that persons life so I don't see a reason why my opinion would matter. Ok I'm lost, out of this thread :bye:
It is about your opinion on this topic X and the reasons for your opinion on this topic X. Now tomorrow, if you have something in your reason(s) that I failed to factor in - it will help me think about it and vice-versa. You get the drift - that's how ALL discussions take place. Everyone puts their opinion and each of us discuss our reasons behind this opinion.

I doubt it. In fact' date=' I would expect it to increase as time goes on and once you've been together for 15-20 years, I can't see it even slightly reducing.[/quote'] Yeah, that is not how life works. Seen too many movies on "true love", I presume?

I cant see if from anybody else's point of view but the spouse left behind and they have many factors to decide: where they are in life, how old are their kids, whom they live with, do they need emotional support, do they need to be alone for a while or forever. I dont think we as other people have place to judge these decisions.

I think things have changed rather quickly in Indian society. Both men and women who divorced their spouses are able to remarry much easily. Of course if you have divorce rates as high as in urban upper middle & high class societies of India, remariages have to be common thing. I don't think when divorced women are able to find new spouses why it should be any worse for widows. It should be only better. People don't recognize that how things have changed in country.

Staying unmarried Double income no kids (DINK) Deliberately not wanting kids but dogs. There is a big association for this on facebook for Indians. Divorcing over trivial issues All these things have increased.
