I still remember the first post of his I read. I called my wife and showed her. "Isn't it hilarious, some kid has got on his dad's laptop and is typing gibberish". She was serious though. "No, you shouldn't laugh at someone retarded, at least he is trying" Unlike others like Velu, who still show some signs of life behind their glazed eyes albeit when boozed, G_B's posts were the blackholes of the internet, where ideas crawled to die and rot.You were often in two minds, whether to reach through the laptop and strangle him, or just cringe and move on. With time, G_B moved on from the smaller forum to ICF. Like the village idiot out of his depths, in a big city but still craving the attention, he blundered his way into threads, often ignoring the premise and mistaking embarrassed amusement of others for admiration. What can one say about G_B which has not been said before. "Why bother?" would be the first phrase which comes to mind. "Do I really have to?" would be the next. The best thing I can say about him would be his obliviousness to everything and levels of self delusion. His comments add volume to the site, and serves as much purpose as a splatter of cow dung in a glass of milk.Some posters are witty. Some are trolls. Some are knowledgeable. Some are obsessed. G_B was just droll. He was that weird guy in the group with the snot running down his nose, whom everyone would try to ignore, but would be reminded of occasionally by his loud sniffing. Recently G_B was appointed as a mod. The admins wanted to be charitable I guess but imagine the feelings of the other mods. You are mod of a forum where G_B is? Yeah, now your are an outcast. Hopefully my family will not get to know before I inherit the millions Here's to G_B, may he live a thousand years of willful ignorance and continue to unintentionally entertain us all.
