NareshK Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 ^^ Thanks. I'm going to have nightmares after watching that.
zen Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I don't believe in jinxes or anti-jinxes. Based on what was on display in this WC so far: a) Dhawan and Kohli are hitting the strides. At times, it appears as if their best is yet to come b) Rohit hasn't clicked so far but if he can get 80+ scores in one or two of the KOs, it would be nice. In fact it would be nice if one of the batsmen can peak during the KOs rather than everyone peaking at the same time c) Rahane and Raina are playing intelligent cricket and are able to build momentum d) Dhoni is trying to give his best as well probably because this could be his last ODI WC e) 3 pacers + 2 spinners combination has served Ind well. 3+2 would serve well on grounds such as SCG and MCG where Ind could end up playing all of its KOs Ofc, everything is not perfect but Ind has 4 more games to sort things out before the KOs. Ind's ability to handle pressure in big tourneys is proven OZ and NZ are playing superbly but the pressure of KOs and home conditions could get to the two teams (Let's not forget that in '87 Ind and Pak were the overwhelming favs as well. They appeared almost invincible esp Pak). RSA as we know has the tendency to mess things for itself in the KOs. Eng, WI and Pak are unpredictable. While SL could peak at the right moment .... With these efficient performances, the chances that the team will continue to improve as the tourney progresses, and its ability to handle pressure, it now appears as if Ind is one of the strong contenders for the title :nice: PS so far, the major tournaments in OZ and NZ have been won by Asian teams: 1985 B&H ----> Ind 1992 WC ----> Pak 2015 WC ---->
