SachDan Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 One more opportunity wasted. Yet scoring fast was the need of the hour.. so.. can't blame too much.
fineleg Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 He will get sirf ek aur Test. That will decide things.
SachDan Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 He will get sirf ek aur Test. That will decide things. Before the testing tour of Australia it would be better to give a chance to Gambhir at Bangalore.. not undermining his habbit of poking outside the off stump!
King Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I hope not, he should be persisted with. He's one gutsy and determined cricketer.
bharat297 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I thought about this a little bit ... I feel because we are just one more test away from the aussie series it is too late to blood Gambhir. So for Gambhir I feel he must wait till after the aussie tour. So I feel we should go with the people who have experience in Australian conditions if we decide not to stick with Karthik. So for me, I feel it is time to give Sehwag one more go, but this time in Tests. I am almost 100% sure Australia will field a 4-man pace attack. If we want a person who wont let Australia settle into a nice rhythm and will immediately punish any loose balls then Sehwag should be given a shot. I would also not mind seeing the technically sound and experienced Chopra be re-instated especially since Jaffer is more attacking nowadays.
beetle Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 He looked good today...unfortunetely he had to up the tempo a bit too early in the innings....I wouldn't call todays batting a big failure.
