Norman Pritchard was a double silver medalist at 1900 Olympics.Winning the 200mts and 200 Mts hurdles silver medals.According to the IOC he participated under the India flag just like the Hockey team did and lists his medal under India. http://www.olympic.org/content/results-and-medalists/gamesandsportsummary/?sport=32588&games=1900%2f1&event=32545 IAAF says he was a British. He was born in India in 1877 in Calcutta and represented Bengal AC and was Bengal champion for yeas.He left India and move to Britain in 1905 and then moved permanently to USA. Guys discuss!

If duel citizenship was allowed, he could have been a dual citizen :dontknow: And then later on, may be he became an American :P

If hockey teams those days represented India, Pritchard is Indian because he was born and bred here. But shouldn't they all be British because they were our masters that time. This makes me wonder how the hell they allowed Dhyan Chand and his boys to represent India instead of Britain, we gave the British hockey team quite a lot of phainty those days. They should just have called our hockey team GBR and theirs GBR Development Squad. :giggle:
