A huge % of people in the west just want to look down upon people in India (and many other developing counties) and will use anything they see as weakness to exploit. I remember when outsourcing happened to gain traction there were all kinds of comments on India from look how poor they are to look how they do xx. Lets keep in mind that rapes are a big problem is most developing countries oweing to lack of policing and law and order. India does have a problem. But constantly making documentaries about it is not the way forward. I strongly urge the student in question to take the university and this professor to court. Just how dumb is this women. Responding in electric print to this student. The european court is going to come down hard on this university and women.
Captain Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The portrayal of India as the "Rape capital of the world" has begun to show it's effects i see.Rape is a heinous crime but it's so obvious that the western media is trying it's best to cast a negative light on India by giving extensive coverage to rapes in India while ignoring the rape stats of their own "Developed" countries.

Europeans are generally more racist than Americans I feel. deep down atleast. Europeans tend to be more politically correct but their biases are more ingrained

This woman seems to be just one of them. thats exactly what it is. But nobody is dumb enough to leave an electronic reply. The European Commission of Human Rights is extremely strong. Infact i wont be surprised that the university in question gives the student in question a scholarship to avoid the media fracas. Considering the response of the German ambassador there is a good case whereby the German government itself might give this student a sponsorship. I hold my hands up and say i have never come across a teacher or professor like this. I was the brown indian kid in school and lived in an all white area. Never did anybody discriminate against me to my knowledge. However at work i felt one of my bosses did not give me the bonus i deserved. I thought that was discriminatory. But he never said stuff to my face. My current boss is cool. I feel he gives me what i deserve. The truth is that Indian workers are treated like **** in the GULF countries. Their focus should be on that much more serious issue. This needs to be taken up by Indian organisations in the European union. Might be better to get UK based Indian parliamentarians involved who can demand an enquiry as EU is considered one entity. The UK does have a sizeable Indian community and many parliamentarian.

Maybe she was even forced by the university to make a statement. She 100% said what exactly is on her mind. this was not a moment of rage but exactly what she thinks based on the email dates. Ie there was significant time between her replies. As i said before the student in question should goto the courts.

My first reaction was this is fale. Then i read the updates and the ambassadors letter. I just dont believe screenshots. This has nothing to do with protecting goras.

Based on the emails that are published the student comes across as calm and collected. "Many other female professors are refusing Indian male students" comments tells me that she is not the only one. Otherwise she would have never made such comments. The university as well, the issue is not exactly that he is an Indian or that they have X% of foreign students. The issue is of the 4 +2 Indian students how many are male? In reality a large % of Indian male (maybe even female) students will be refused applications and opportunities because of this. Its all very well for Leslie Udwin and her supposed freedom of speech ideal. It has real consequences for those of us living in the west.

My opinion is not just based on this documentary. Its a trait in West Europe to make "discoveries" about Indian poverty and problems. From the man booker prize given to Indians to the BBC news portal. The negatives always out number the positives. And i shall bring whoever i like into this.
