BeautifulGame Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Pujara is not an opener Kohli is not a test no.3 Rahul is an international keeper Legund - why bother lol Three key issues for me. 1.We need an all rounder if we ever want to win test series overseas.4 bowler theory has proven time and again as hopeless in taking 20 wkts Pick whoever the best all rounder in Ranji , preferably seaming AR. May be Rishi Dhawan or someone like him but stick with him . 2.WK batsman Rahul is not a wkt batsman. The likes of Karthick and Parthiv are proven failures . Saha deserves a decent run in the side .But agree he should contribute with the bat as well.Just being a good WK isn't enough in modern day cricket Also should look at some one like Gautham (Kar).He has real potential IMO 3.Need to develop a seam attack One of our biggest issues is becoz we only play 2 seamers at home the 3rd seamer just don't develop .And when we step overseas 3rd seamer is in experienced and horribly exposed So we should rotate our 2 seamers on a regular basis to give exposure to them .And also play 3 man attack often possible with Jadeja (rotate with seam AR)and Ashwin as spinners against the weaker teams
