A church under construction was demolished in Haryana's Hisar district on Sunday. The miscreants even hoisted a flag with "Shri Ram" written at the site in Kaimri village, 10km from here. Sources said villagers were angry over the priest's alleged efforts to convert some of the local residents. Village sarpanch Dalbir Singh told TOI, "There is not even a single Christian family in Kaimri village. Priest Subhash is trying to convert some of the families by luring them with money, food and other facilities." "The villagers who have been booked by the police on the complaint of the priest were not involved (in razing the structure). The land where the church was being built was bought by him (priest) from some society and it had even issued a notice to him about the illegal construction of the church. The priest is engaged in occult practices for conversion," Dalbir alleged.

With the daily dose of hatred that is being spread against christians, it is no wonder that every two bit criminal sees them as an easy target. They all believe they can rob, kill and do whatever they want and then get away with the crime by hiding behind some chaddi bs of the week. Just like in our neighbouring country where people settle scores, rob and loot by hiding behind 'insult to quran' argument.

Build a church illegally in a village with no Christians. Blatantly attack locals' faith and expect to be showered with flowers. Stupid is stupid. (This is pertaining to the chaprasi priest. His bosses are slick operators)

You can see how the media reporting differs based on the government. We have two threads and both are reacted very differently. An incident in WB, and the blame and the questioning is thrown on the central government. An incident happens in Haryana and the blame is thrown on state government. About this incident, it would be sensible if our mainstream media could also show the local news about this illegal chruch and its conversion agenda. But that's too much for our biased media.
