Precambrian Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Seriously what is this guy's contribution in this world cup? Nearly cost NZ the game vs Bangladesh with his slow going and yesterday when NZ required rate was nearing 8, he was happily chugging along at personal RR of 4.5. His overall stats in this world cup is 181 runs from 8 matches @ 30.16 and at a strike rate of 63! He is neither making the big scores that NZ want him to and is actually destroying the momentum that McCullum creates. For me the most frustrating player in this world cup, and a player I wouldn't mind India keep on the crease for as long as possible should they get into the finals. :cantstop: Having said that, I thought it was in India's best interests that they keep Ricky Ponting as long as possible on the pitch during the 2003 World cup final. Ponting's world cup till then were a middling average of 35 with a strike rate of 77. But we know what he did in the finals.:((
sage Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 It may prove costly in the final to keep going with him. One very slow innings during a chase could destroy New Zealand's chances
coffee_rules Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 He took 2 wickets in the SF. He got Guptaji runout and gave himself easily.
Bleed-Blue Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Complete Opposite of McCullum, He Playing For Himself And Not The Team.
