Kohli huge disappointment

Yeah but Raina helped then win an ODI series in England recently. What do you mean by fake victory. All victories are tough and hard earned.Nothing is easy even in Subcontinent. This is the same Raina which helped India win QF and SF in 2011 WC.
That was in sub continent. That was one off century, and english team is not a champion side in ODI.

He will come out a better player after these failures. He is still very young and needs to work on a lot of things in his game. These things will get him going to improve his game as he usually takes things on his heart. I am disappointed at his failure but he has given us so many great moments in the last 4 years. As for world cup record, I am not worried. If not 3 he will play 2 more and at some point of time will come good.
I don't know why, but, people don't give the importance to technique. Kohli has a technical flaw. Now days, teams analyze a lot, and exploit it. Until and unless, he will not improve his technique, he will fall in the league of raina. Pulling sri lankan bowler is one thing. That ball was a beast from johnson. It was a high rising bouncer. Technical correct batsman would have done something. I am sure, rahane would have played it much better, despite struggling against high bouncers, because, he has a good technique.

Yeah but you only said Raina did not score against England. So if he scores against England now you say that they are not champion side. This is the same England side that beat India in triseries. Bottom line is any victory is hard doesnt matter whether its in subcontinent or not. That he plays well in subcontinent doesnt dimnish his achievements. If the Aus and SA pace bowlers are great, why dont they take the pitch out of equation and still bowl well and take wickets of Raina cheaply in sub-continent. Raina definitely have his problems, but you are over exagerrating by saying that Raina is not good enough to play ODIs outside subcontinent.

Kohli is feeling the heat and the pressure of huge expectation.People were expecting him to do better than Sachin. And predetermined that he is more clutch than Sachin. He ''was'' when every one was looking at Sachin. Now he is the focus and feeling the pressure.Hope he can handle this phase..Cannot lose him.

His performance has definitely been bad, and considering how much India relies on him made it even worse. Did he not play well in WT20 and CT though? He is still India's best batsmen but it's things like these which may not let him reach Tendulkar's level.
He is best batsman in the lingo of media, not in FACTS. Earlier, when he was not the main batsman, he was not analyzed properly.

Raina has done nothing to be considered a batsman, proper batsman.

I know why you don't like rohit' date=' but I am not into those things now.[/quote'] So that is ur logic I hate Rohit lol Rohit test average in Australia - 28.83 (in the same pattas Kohli scored 600 runs) South Africa - 11.25 England - 17.00 Pray tell us how Rohit is class unlike Kohli.

Too much nitpicking IMO. Any batsman will be vulnerable outside off stump when he goes out to bat because his feet will not be moving. When your feet are not moving, you wont really know where your off stump is and you will play at deliveries which you should be leaving and not coming forward to play certain shots will not enable you to play the shots well. Once you are set, you will be lot more comfortable. In England, Anderson got the better of him. If he has a weakness against outside off stump, he wouldnt have scored thousands of runs in ODIs and Tests as most bowlers would have got him out just by bowling in that channel which is not the case.
Not to this extent, the kohli has, this weakness. All batsman will be vulnerable, but technically correct batsman play them with soft hands, so that even the edges don't carry till the slip cordons. But kohli pokes them with hard bat. It is due to the reason that he is a strong bottom handed batsman. Now, not everyone can be sachin, to have a batting style with bottom hand.

Kohli still had a average of 50 runs in this tournament which is good. He scored in the pressure game against Pakistan and also against South Africa. All great players have failed in the knockout games. We need to move on. People are already saying cheap stuff like all his other centuries in chase have lost the charm. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. We just weren't good enough on the day to win and Kohli just played wasn't good today on this big day. Just accept that and stop accusing a particular player who averaged 50 and scored in 2 out of the three big games.
oh really? the games of pakistan and south africa were important for the league standing, not for the final outcome.

ha ha ha yes you can, as yours is typical indian mentality, short cut and fast success. But, in the long run, only class matters, not the quick success formula. and sehwag etc scored under the protege of dravid, tendulkar etc. Dravid, akash chopra etc used to handle all the pressure deliveries, that's why those tuk-tuk, which, now days is considered bad. But it is tuk-tuk cricket which is most important, and only technically correct batsman can do this. Batman ability is judged in the manner that how long he can stand on the crease, not, how can he slog. Though sehwag is a batsman, and not a slogger by any means, but raina, a big no. raina cannot be considered a proper batsman. Even ashwin has a technique superior to raina. Now giving hoik to sri lankna bowlers is one thing. Batting against johnson, steyn is another thing.

He cannot until and unless he does not sort out his technical flaws.
