BTW anyone remember the last world cup champion in test cricket? Me neither
I don`t think the championship has been held yet... If you are talking about the rankings, no one cares about that.

I was talking about serious cricket fans, not people who are just interested in slogging.

Alright, so T20 is the best format of Cricket because it has the highest viewership? Practically the only people who go to watch Test cricket live are serious cricket fans. The people who go to watch T20 can be serious cricket viewers or just people who had a day off from work and decided to drop by to watch Gayle.

I Think People Dont Take t20 As Seriously But Watch It More Because Of It Being Entertaining And It Being Less Time Consuming Than Test.

So why don't we have test world cup if we have such serious fans for test cricket ? And why is anyone enjoying sports after a day off not a serious cricket fan. That is what sports is to ,to enjoy .Just becoz u enjoy doesn't mean u aren't a serious fan .

So why don't we have test world cup if we have such serious fans for test cricket ? And why is anyone enjoying sports after a day off not a serious cricket fan. That is what sports is to ,to enjoy .Just becoz u enjoy doesn't mean u aren't a serious fan .
We have not completed a Test world cup so far because cricket is a commercialized sport. Viewership matters to the people who organize these competitions. That does not necessarily make a format superior to another one. Also I do believe a Test cricket world cup is being held in 2017. From my experience, most of the people who watch IPL/T20 in the stadium do not watch cricket that seriously. Of course there are many people in the stadiums who watch all forms. However the majority (and this is an assumption, but I believe a fairly accurate one) do not.

This whole discussion is about the correlation between viewership and the quality of the format. Since you believe there is a high correlation, that is what your statements implied. You say that you never implied anything, and then you are putting words in my mouth... Did I say commercialization as bad? No. It is a different matter that I do believe changing the sport drastically for the sake of higher viewership is wrong (e.g. making conditions better for batting so viewers are entertained more).
