fineleg
As a bowler, Irfan Pathan probably would not qualify to be in the Test-11. He will most likely go to Aus as all rounder in the squad, but does he get to play in the playing-11 for Test-1? Yuvraj Singh might come into 11. Not sure about Irfan Pathan...we'll have ZK, RP Singh (hopefully), AK and one more bowler? or IKP? Link to comment
Ram
Not good enough, i expected him to do more, atleast with the new ball. Link to comment
DesiChap
IKP should play as a 3rd seamer in the Australia Test matches Link to comment
Cricketics
not that great really.. but with the 2nd new ball.. just like Ishant.. even pathan was bowling good line.. though later one he started giving away runs.. lets see how he goes.. they have to bowl another 2 days.. would be a good test Link to comment
Dravid
well, sree aint fit.. so pathan should get his spot but that would mean 3 left arm pacers.. hmmmmmm Link to comment
living
I dunno, I actually might pick Aggy with Zak and RPS... Pathan then on if Aggy doesn't perform in the first test. Playing IKP is a very defensive statement, especially for the first test. We need to be aggressive ... Link to comment
MundaPakistani
Not bad at all. Got the big wicket of Yousuf and could easily have had 1 or 2 more. Link to comment

I shudder to say it, but given the lack of bench strength, would Agarkar's experience come in handy!? Should we get Agarkar? *sigh* I know...its craparkar! But, still!? He has done well in Aus before, has the experience, and lack of bench strength might get him in the squad. AA may be better than inexperience of Ishant Sharma or lazy Munaf Patel. Link to comment
Bumper
I'd play Pathan at Sydney for sure. I'd play Munaf in the rest of the tests ahead of Pathan Link to comment
Holysmoke
Another thing is, we should have a right handed bowler.. 3 left arm pacers can get monotonous... Link to comment
donkey
he is not the same old pathan....I miss the good one days when no1 could read his inswingers:(( Link to comment
jacky007
IKP got to do something better to be part of playing 11 for test ... after changing his action he has lost his wicket taking swing balls... his economy has been impressing but again playing in india vs pakistan when batsmans have scored big ... pakis may look to play out as much time as they can ... but in aus scean might be different and we all know he bowls one or two bad balls in an over ... ozs wont miss on those for sure ... There we said it :D Link to comment
bharat297
It might just have to be Agarkar ... why didnt the selectors select him for this match, if he was in the squad of 24 probables? Link to comment

living
Plus he will definitely remain injury free for the entire tour. I think that is also an important factor. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
I'd play Pathan at Sydney for sure. I'd play Munaf in the rest of the tests ahead of Pathan Munaf ???:omg: you gotta be kidding .. that guy doesnt have pace or line n length and has never been fit. Its better to play I Sharma than playing Muaf patel Link to comment
fineleg
Support for Aggy is gaining strength :P All haters of AA (myself included) are scrambling for AA after looking at bench strength of our bowlers No wonder AA is the COMEBACK KING DUCK:hysterical: Link to comment
