(2) She was right in demanding a receipt for the challan. (3) She was right in demanding that the challan be sent to her through court and than leaving. The policeman should simply have noted the number and sent a challan. (4) When the policeman caught hold of her vehicle, dropped them, and broke their taillight initiating physical assault. Her response of throwing a brick at his bike can be justified as self defense. (5) Hitting her with a brick(as opposed to her vehicle) is assault. Of course the woman was at fault on some counts but the punishment for all of them was challan which the police refused to administer inspite of she agreeing to it.
