Steyn does a Sehwag...humiliates BD...

But what guarantee is there that if I only bat in 2 innings, I am sure to get at least 1 fifty? And who gives that guarantee? And if it doesn't happen, who compensates and how much is the compensation? See my point? Of course Mominul is not the 5th greatest batsman of all time...who said he was? But suppose Mominul averaged 25 after 14 tests...everyone would say he's just another 25 average BD batsmann like Ashraful. Right?
it is an insult to Sehwag if he is compared to Tamim who is a nobody in cricket...Only Idiots would make such a comparision....Sehwag was the most destructive batsman in his prime who changed the way test batting is seen as...Once in a lifetime kind of player...He was one of the reasons India rose in test rankings and stayed number 1 for 3 years and also won the World cup......On the other hand you have this guy called Tamim who has no respect outside bangladesh..what did he acheive for Bangladesh....Did he win atleast a single test match for BD atleast at home...His Contribution is a big Zero...He would not even make it into India B team...

BD fans should realise that you cannot beg for respect...Yesterday it was sehwag, today it is steyn and tomorrow it will be ABDv or Kohli or Warner who will say they dont want to tour or play in BD...Not only the fans but your terribled captain Mushfiq should also realise that and keep his mouth shut...The whole world laughed at him when he complained about India sending A team and went on to get whitewashed by them....So please shut up and let your actions speak...then you will start getting respect...

Feck the stats, Sehwag was part of some tough tours such as NZ 2002-03 where bangbros would have been finished for much less than 100 every single time. There must be a dozen Sehwag knocks better than all bangbros managed together over the years. These other padosis seem not too different after all, pointing out random stats to make absurd arguments.

Never said Tamim is better than Sehwag. All I said is Sehwag is a home track bully who happens to average lower than Tamim in certain countries. Some have inferred that implies Tamim > Sehwag. But I never said that. Hell, Sehwag (or even Laxman for that matter) was a bigger match winner than Sachin even. Tamim making India B team is not bad. Just based on population and player pool size India A, B, C, D, E, and F teams should be better than Bangladesh. Factor in resources, money, and influence at the ICC and even India Z should be better than Bangladesh. Its like comparing US basketball to Indian basketball...Sim Bhullar wouldn't even make it to the all NBA 50th team.

There is no guarantee of anything. But even if he has 5 ducks in those 7 matches, you can't use that to extrapolate. What I'm saying is that you can't just look at averages without context. If Tamim is a better overseas player than Sehwag just because of a higher average over 7 tests, why isn't Mominul the 5th greatest test batsman since he has the 5th highest average?
Didn't imply Tamim is a better overseas batsman than Sehwag - although I think he has the potential to be for sure. Sehwag aveages 30 something in AUS/ENG/SA/NZ...Tamim is good enough to average around there. All I said, or meant to say, is that Sehwag for all his ****-talking averaged less than a mediocre guy like Tamim. No one is hyping Tamim like Sehwag and posting links about how he allegedly changed the game after Gilly actually changed it first. And he had the audacity to talk about bowling attacks when he played for a team that has the worst bowling attack of any of the top 8 ranked teams of all time. All I said was that Steyn can open his mouth and say whatever he wants but Sehwag cannot.

Sehwag said that few years back when he was in form and Bangladesh team was still a minnow.

I am hoping India will send 11 Binny's along with 11 Mayanti Langer
I don't think it is possible to take 66 wickets in a game. First learn to handle one Lord Binny, then progress from there.

Tamim averages 38 at home while Sehwag averages 54 with an SR of 84. A team plays around 50% of matches at home. First worry about winning matches for your team at home rather before boasting overseas records. Sehwag opened the batting while Gilchrist came down the order after his ATG team had piled up 400 runs. Gilchrist had much more freedom in that regard. Anyway, just because Sehwag has a sub par (for his high standards) record overseas, that in no way reduces his freedom to criticize other teams. Of course I don't think you should demoralize any team like that, but if Steyn can open his mouth due to his caliber according to you, so can Sehwag. By the way, whenever India has the worst bowling attacks out of the top 8 teams, Bangladesh's was always worse. And now we're the best bowling side in the subcontinent, but that's a different story.

I think you are still hurting from the comments Sehwag made about your team..It is obvious that BD fans still cant get over the insult and the bad news for you guys is that every one else agrees with Steyn and Sehwag.... the fact is your team was not man enough to pay back his comments on the field...Even many years after that your team is still ordinary still losing to teams like Hong Kong and Afghans that too in your home...

What I'm hurting from and where I'm hurting and what pain meds I'm on and who is writing the prescription are all irrelevant points. The fact is Steyn made a valid point which is that at his stage, being a fast bowler, there is no point risking injury in a meaningless (for SA) ODI series. Which of those applies to Sehwag? Yes BD are an ordinary team compared to India. I fully agree. But will Sehwag admit that India are an ordinary team compared to all other top 8 Test sides? http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;orderby=win_loss_ratio;template=results;type=team All time win loss ratios India are 7th out of 8. Are you effing kidding me? With 80% of the fanbase, 70% of money, 80% of ICC control you should be running the sport like the Godfather ran the mafia. You should always be in the top 3 of every format, at all times. You should win every other world cup. And that is being generous as heck. Instead you have one WC win when the format was still unknown, another on tailor made pattas, and another one when the WT20 was unknown with a bunch of home track bullies (Sachin averages how much in Australia? check his averages at Perth and Brisbane...not even 30). So if Sehwag can opine about ordinary - OK he probably knows a lot about it - then even a w*hore can call a stripper a sl*t.

Who looks at win/loss ratios spanning 83 years? The things people resort to just so they can make another team look bad! And flat pitches are for everyone. Why didn't every other team make use of the pitches? And the pitches this world cup were much more suited for batting than 2011. So Australia's win is a fluke too? 80% of ICC control? Still mad about the quarterfinal? Sachin averages 53 against Australia. He has played 3 matches at the WACA. A slightly low average there means absolutely nothing... By the way, did you seriously call Sachin an HTB?

You still dont get the point ...Dont you...Only a Bangladeshi can bring up such logic...Do you mean to imply that those who have fanbase, money and control the governing body should be winning all the games and world cups...What kind of twisted logic is this?? Do you understand Sport at all?? Do you understand what a competition in sports is. ??

MOST does NOT = all. Read it again. India should be winning 3 out of 4 world cups and dominating Test cricket home and away. But we can be generous and ask you to win every other world cup or hell even every third world cup. Being 7th out of 8 ALL TIME is not dominating, and to use your word isn't even competing. You expect that from Bangladesh, not the self proclaimed best team in the universe. OK, fine India wasn't always big and bad...so counting from 2000 onwards when India had power and money and their best overall team, they still have a WL ratio that ranks 4th out of 8. So you know what competition means...Do you understand what "mediocre" means? If not, look it up.

Can Steyn take a 4/6 like Shewag did against BD? :hysterical: BD fans will blame everyone Indian including the reporter who interviewed Steyn. Come on, what did Steyn do in the World cups or other global tournaments?

What rubbish, you clearly have no idea about how sports work.

I think even though Shewag was more of a FTB still scoring 5 200s including 300s that too with strike rate close to 100 are not joke. Even BD people know he was a destructive batsman. But for his arrogant behavior we don't like him much. Many have a negative thought about him. Thus they like to underrate him. Which is wrong. Like Kriterion.

Mediocre means who does well in meaningless tournaments and vanishes at big moments :winky:
