G_B_ Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 The players under question Rayadu-- too slow, however needs a consistent run Axar-- Not good enough I am afraid Rahane-- Not a middle order player, either opens or on bench Iyer long term maybe Binny-- not good enough Kulkarni- needs more outings, may not be good enough to be a frontline bowler but can do a job during injuries etc Jadeja-- better the devil you know. IMO Pandya Hooda you should keep an eye on them. On the whole i feel India need more power hitters. MSD at 4 might just work.

Consistently improving his strike rate (61 to 71 to 77 to 81 to 84 - seasonal strike rates) With him in the team, India have won 18 ODis and lost just 9

Dhoni hates spraygun fast bowlers and stupid bowlers like Yadav has given him cause to completely go for a trundler brigade...Yadav has done so much harm to his and other budding fast bowler's careers... Kolkarni can stay as a second option. He does manages to take crucial wickets... Wicket taking is the key. Can't have run savers in the ODI team. The team needs to be built on bowlers who can strike and power hitting batsmen in the middle and lower order...
