MK55 Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 Mcgrath tips Harris to miss first test "I'd be keen to play both Starc and Hazlewood in the first Test and you've got to play Mitchell Johnson," McGrath said. "Ryan Harris hasn't played a great deal of cricket and they'll probably want to manage him throughout the series. http://www.cricket.com.au/news/glenn-mcgrath-tips-ryan-harris-to-miss-first-ashes-test-expects-shane-watson-to-play/2015-06-30
BlueBee Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 The tour match was against Kent who are the bottom tablers in Second Div county. Not really surprised.
vayuu1 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Instead of Harris, I would put Hazelwood and starc, I haven't seen starc with duke ball, he struggles with kookaburra, who knows, Duke ball might suit him.
vayuu1 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 My team would be Warner Rogers Smith Clarke S marsh Watson Haddin Johnson Lyon Hazelwood Starc I don't know why if Hazelwood plays I have a feeling, he will be a bigger threat than both starc and johnson.
CricketBuffOne Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Not a good sign for England. Australia dominated the match completely.
mishra Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 England have to considerably improve to their performance against kiwis. Aussies are far better side then kiwis.
adi B Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 So no predictions this time by the former aus,eng cricketers eh? When'll McGrath, botham, warne etc come out with their predictions as they have always done in the past, think no one is sure about the ashes result this time, wont be a 5-0 or 3-0 this time
mishra Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Lyth Cook Ballance Bell Root Stokes Buttler Rashid Broad Wood Anderson And waiting in wings Bairstow, Finn,Footit,Ali.Hales. However if we replace Ballance with on holiday KP, England has got a solid squad

mishra Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Mcgrath is predicting Aus to win 5-0 making it 10-0 on aggregate :haha: Barbie predicting Smith is weak link in Aussie side
mishra Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Official Squad. Rashid In. Hopefully Ali out England squad for the first Test: Alastair Cook (capt), Adam Lyth, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wk), Moeen Ali, Stuart Broad, Mark Wood, James Anderson, Adil Rashid, Steven Finn
adi B Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Mcgrath is predicting Aus to win 5-0 making it 10-0 on aggregate :haha: Haha, not gonna happen
MK55 Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Ryan Harris out of first test due to injury. So its gonna be Starc Hazlewood and MJ after all. If these three do decently in the first test, will be difficult for Ryan to get back in the playing 11 unless there's an injury. But since this is a 5 test series, there's every chance of that happening
Scarves Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Likely Australian team really is set except for Shaun Marsh or Voges. Mitch Marsh has to be in.
mishra Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Gonna be a 2-2 draw :om: Totally depends. I have serious doubts that Cook will score any runs against Aussies. But if between Cook and Lyth, one player gets a century in first game, there is big possibility of drawn series or England winning 2 or may be 3 games. But Starc is too good not to get these guys cheaply
