India had a great chance to try the likes of Mandeep Singh, Shreyas Iyer, Chand, Manish Pandey, Samson. But we get to see the likes of Tiwary, Uthappa, Jhadav, Vijay. Who are hardly the candidates that can make it to 2019 WC. Some seriously pointless selections

The selectors' objective is probably to try out these players for one last time and then be done with them if they still fail.

Watching our batting in the last Zimbabwe match should have been depressing for any Indian fan. What the feck were we doing batting like 90s? And Dhawal....oh God...Mediocre to the nth degree. He trundles and sprays the ball. How can selectors be sooo foolish reg him?

Jadhav may or may not be garbage but he deserved a proper chance. Averages 48 in List A with SR upwards of 100.

Not ready to face nonasian conditions.they will flop at the moment. Manish is the closest and I was not fully convinced he had matured enough last time I watched him. mandeep is promising but he is still fragile. others have long way to go. Right now they have picked seasoned players..however previous experience counts the ones who looked confident have been rahane, vijay, rayudu and binny all of whom have spent last year outside asia. last time in 2013 rayudu looked out of sorts in the first 15 overs but this time he is on sure ground others are not so sure in these conditions at the moment.

IMO our batting talent is adequate atm. I'm more worried the spin department and selectors ignoring promising Spin bowlers like Kuldeep and Rasool in favor of darters like Axar and Harby. Barring Ashwin, there's no other spinner who's good enough to break into any of the top 8 sides.

Our domestic structure is so bad...not only any good batsmen, no good all rounders, no bowlers. Also why is Jadhav guy so hyped up?

I have no idea what people see in him. Rubbish, rubbish quality. Typical domestic , spin bowler bully. Even Binny is better than him.
