India has substantial area because of lakshadweep and andaman but still to truely control IOC area India must get some exclusive economic zones in Maldives and french IOC area like the bassas da India and Seychelles and Mauritius. Put an artificial island in unclaimed IOC get some zones in Amsterdam islands etc.

Vilander Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 its based on coastline, for instance Irans coast line is not much although its a vast country, in contrast maldives with its 1500 islands has substantial coastline for such a tiny country so has more water area in its sovereign.
