All countries recognised importance of leg spinners....why now??

Main reason is flatter pitches. Previously you could contain a team by bowling tight, but now unless you take wickets the teams are going to get 350+ easily.

As runs are scored quicker n more aggressive game being played , leggies prove versatile n can perform on any tracks, while finger spinner R a bit limited on conditions , atleast most are.

Well, for one, multiple off spinners are either being asked to change their action, or to reduce those previously potent but illegal variations. In the process off spinners have been losing their effectiveness. Teams are turning then to leg spinners. Teams are being patient in developing leg spinners. And with lefties becoming seemingly fewer compared with a few years ago, the ball spinning away from the righty is becoming more and more effective in an age where impatient batsmen are trying to play big shots against the turn.
