Worst Bowling figures in ODI (most runs conceded)

Are the bowlers being taught to think for themselves? This is very, very important in international cricket and raises the issue of what the team management is doing - is it providing the bowlers with a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C? Is it asking bowlers to express their own views on particular issues, and learn if they are confident of implementing them? Is the management, in turn, confident of a bowler going ahead with his own plans?

I do not agree with venky on india not producing fast bowlers. But he does make some good points like above .There seems to be a distinct lack of planning compared to other intentional teams. When venky was coach one thing was easy to see their were plans be it offcutters at bangalor against aus test series or bowling cross seam.

you need  helpful wickets for pacers in india ,otherwise things wont change ,only then there will be pressure on the pacers to perform , they are used to relying on spinners and batsmen to get the job done and dont take enough responsibility.they also need to improve their fielding and batting and make the team more reliant on them.

By helpful wickets we do not need green tops where even medium pacers wreck havoc we already have too much green tops. We need balanced pitches which bounce and have some movement on day 1,2 then turn.

Yes, sporting pitches, which will aid only those batsmen and bowlers who put in extra effort, is the best way forward....both for producing good players as well as hosting good and exciting matches.

i was talking about int matches,

in domestic most of wickets are not green tops though the numbers have increased,a lot of the times the batting collapses on green tops  due to poor batting and inexperience and not just because of the pitch .quick and bouncy tracks are ideal but i have not seen many such tracks most need grass to have some help for the pacers

In domestic its medium pacers 120-130ks who rule the roost.Unless you have good hard pitches with bit of grass unlike current scenario where we have either dry or green top.You are not going to get cricket wickets.Spin is our strength so the balance has to be there.Wickets like Wankede, kolkatta, mohali are good test centers. You have to first improve at club level and domestic wickets then you will see better cricket at international level.
