Here are my nominations. 1. Best Cricket Poster- Shortlist of two here- Salil & Ravi. They bring different qualities to the table. Salil is a brilliant writer, who underpins every post of his with meticulous research- just read his article on the murky underbelly of Indo-Pak cricket to appreciate a truly informative piece. Salil could have made a living as a writer- any sort of writer. Journalism's loss- Chemistry's gain- very few know that this young man is on the Honours List at Chicago. Ravi brings his considerable knowledge of having played the game at a fairly high level to this forum (He still plays every weekend, and can whip the socks off any young turks, aspiring to be cricketers here). Enormous enthusiasm for the game. I always look forward to reading his insights. 2. Best General Discussions Poster- Shortlist of two- Lurker & CC. Both are extremely gifted writers. Lurker has an expansive knowledge base to draw upon- he is a voracious reader- and brings an earthy, unpretensious style to his posts, which is always good value for the time spent reading them. CC is a fantastic debator, researches every topic he posts on, and can write with the best when he puts his mind to it. He has not reappeared after a three week ban, but brings a lot to this forum. THE GD area is definitely poorer without him. 3. Best Statistician- Sorry, no shortlist here. One person lords it over everybody else, and that's our one and only Bossbhai. Truly blessed are we to have this man with us, with his passion for the game and the numbers that tell its story. He gave up many private hours to fashion a full Test database, which he uses to answer just about any query you can come up with. An enormous asset to ICF. 4. Best Cameraman- Shortlist of Rajeev and Cricketics. Both have their own video blogs, are cricket-mad, and are the biggest draws on this board with their timely cricket-clips. In addition, Rajeev, singlehandedly, has probably introduced the highest number of posters to this board. 5. Best Humorous Poster- Shortlist of Gambit, Bumper & HariSampath. Anybody who has been through Gambit's Cricinfo spoofs will know his brilliant penchant for mickey-taking. There's never been more successful threads on this forum than the two spoofs he created, one of which earned him a citing on Cricinfo. Bumper is the man whose humour never dries up. There is a constant stream of gentle witticisms from this self-effacing man, epitomised by the Athers-Inzi archives. Always good for a thorough chuckle, Bumps. Hari is the newest addition to ICF, and has already enamoured many with his hard hitting posts and extensive cricket knowledge. But his biggest gift is his sense of humour, which he brought into play with the wonderfully crafted "Agarkar Joins ICL". Every so often, he lets slip a gem that draws helpless guffaws (remember his take on "First there is God, and then Ganguly on the offside?") 6. Best Writer- Shortlist of Salil and Shwetabh. I have already described Salil's talents, but take a look at Shwetabh. He brings with him the discipline picked up from years of rigorous studies in a very technical area. Thus, his posts are always well thought out, balanced and informative. He never lets the quality flag for a moment, whichever section of this forum he happens to be scribing in. My pick, with Salil as the most gifted writer. 7. Best Behaved Poster- I nominate MP and Kablooee for this slot. They have read through reams and reams of Pakistan-bashing on this site, but have remained calm and courteous despite intense provocation. For that, they both deserve our respect. In addition, both are excellent posters. Kablooee writes particularly well. 8. And finally, the MVP of this board- I have gone for a shortlist of two. Predator & Sriram for the all round excellence of their posts, their all-season posting through thick and thin, and their unbridled enthusiasm for cricket, even when others begin to flag. In addition, Pred is a genuine all rounder- his knowledge and appetite for other sports such as Football, Boxing and F1 speaks of a true sporting afficionado. I think it's fair to say that without these two, this board would grind to a halt in a matter of days.

As ICF is celebrating its first annual awards I suppose..so why don't we salute the man with greatest fan base in world cricket and pick his die hard fan in this forum?:haha: Its the only poll where I feel like being in the running.. otherwise whether its about ,writing, humour, stats and even in behaving...I will be the one at the rock bottom for sure.. Even in the above mentioned poll,I will be left way back by jpika,Zubin, bossbhai, sriram, njkiller and some others:nervous:

Actually I will vote for MP in the Best Behaved Poster. Its not easy for a non-indian to survive on this site as certain things can go bias/ppl attacking other country men... bleh bleh But in the upcoming days we shall break MP's resilience. :finger: Kudos MP :D
