He was killed in May 1799 while defending his fort of Srirangapatna against the British forces. How is Tipu a freedom fighter? Shivaji is upheld for his fight for Marathas. What did Tipu fight for other than saving his kingdom from British? He sided with the french and was not fighting for a unified India. He was against Kannada as a official language and made Urdu and Persian official languages, forced conversion, killing of priests and cruel occupation of land (Coorg) la Ghazni/Ghori. Real Bhangi logic!One cannot go against vokkaligas in Karnataka , they are like Yadavs of Bihar. Gowdas didn't like his opposition to Kempegowda, their hero. Sidda lost both Hindu votes and caste votes (Gowdas) by inviting senile Karnad to talk in this garner-muslim-vote event organized by Sonia's party in Karnataka. In fact you know that communal riots are being used in our country, not just in Karnataka, to win elections. Riots are being organised by people in power. I don't have to spell them out to you. People know if you organise a communal riot, the communities form two different camps and then you win an election. People like this creates more trouble between communities than fringes who doesn't have much knowledge anyway
