sourab10forever Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Just read that WI are the no 1 T20 side in the world after SL lost to NZ.This whole ranking schema is bullshet. If NZ win this Pakistan series, they jump from 8 to 1...what the heck is that. U are jumping 8 places just because of 1 series? But then SL lost almost 80 percent of their matches after last WT20 and still just came down now. This system needs some revamping for sure.Don't think player ranking in this format is too reliable too.
Adi_91 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Completely flawed considering the no of T20 games each team plays in a year. Half a dozen games cannot determine who is good to be #1.WI at top spot shows how horrible the system is.
sscomp32 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Like the game this is also lottery. IND win the series they go directly to 4. If its a clean sleep for us we go to 2. Jump of 6 place in just 3 wins .
HippoSucks Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 It isn't any different from tests. Teams #1 to #6 are so close in the test rankings that any one of them can reach #1 or #2 after winning a major series. Rather than the rankings system, the unpredictability of T20 matches and the low amount of T20s every year are at fault here. With the World T20 coming up the rankings will show the strength of the teams more accurately.T20 is the only format the West Indies are decent at, so it isn't very surprising that they are at #1.
