gakgupta Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Now that ABD is in verge of retiring, can we say virat along with Joe Root and kane williamson are the future of world cricket...Yeah...there is not enough to say virat has solved his issues with his offside play esp around 4thbstump but recent SA test at home have shown some evidence....For me Steven Smith is like cook....he will soon fade awaySent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk tweaker 1
Number Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 More concerned about the bowling. In ODIs no bowler debuted after 2003-04 and managed to keep his avg below 25. Morkel may be the only one.In tests bar Steyn and Philander no bowlers avg below 25, compare that to 90s to early 2000s when lot of teams had a couple or more of them (Ambrose, Walsh, Bishop, McGrath, Gillespie, Warne, Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar, Murli,Donald, Pollock, Devilliers)Although you can only bat against what is put in front of you but for me its difficult to rate batsmen of today anywhere close to SRT, Lara, Dravid or Waugh.
MechEng Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Kane Williamson will be the best batsman in the world. Edited March 28, 2016 by MechEng
kosingh Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Would love for Kohli to move from very good to great in tests too.
