I think it was extremely strategic by BJP to needle these leftist bastions and show to the nation what's happening there and leave it to judgement of the people of the nation. It was the case in JNU. They just made it naked in front of the nation of the ideas and thought processes that run through these campuses. Earlier, I was of the view that this was inexperience and incompetence of the government. Now, I think this was extremely well thought strategy and the left has got rattled. Also think BJP is trying to draw the narrative from intolerance to nationalism. The leftist and congressis had drawn the debate towards former with Dadri and award Wapsi.
