suraj
Both played great in the first innings- pick which one did you think was better and why. My vote goes to VVS- really laid the foundation and gave the confidence to the Indian team those silky drives were a delight to watch SRT was a very very close second Special kudos for RD too who persevered- awesome determination to not give up his wicket even in a low time Link to comment
fineleg
VVS #1 - definitely was a crucial period and he laid the foundation SRT #2 - made sure what VVS did was extended into a lead HS #3 - extremely important cameo SG #4 - good attacking strokeplay RD #5 - fought hard, basically took on Akash Chopra's role and got a 50 Utter failures: Jaffer, YS (msd too, but he atleast keeps wickets) Link to comment

guju24
i think both VVS and SRT played extraordinary innnigs here at SCG...laxman settle the indian scorcard at the beggining of the inning and then SRT took over the control once VVS got out and made good patnerships with DADA and BHaji... riya
Both were great innings .VVs just gave a shock treatment to the Aussies by attacking beyond their expectation .Then SRT played a watchful innings to secure our team .Different responsibilities .But i would rank VVS for the initiative he took thus showing the way to treat Aussies it was a morale boosting innings . Dravid
vvs 100 wayyyy better... aus were about to climb all over us again.. and he stopped em.. Link to comment
gs
VVS kicked Aus in the nuts! SRT made sure that the misery lasted for a while :D Link to comment
Bumper
Its easy to underestimate Dravid's innings as it was a painful laboring innings. But its no coincidence that our middle order came together here (that crumbled at MCG). Dravid not only took the shine off the new ball, but also laid the foundation for the MO bats to build on. Everytime we've gone to make a mamoth score recently (500+), it was on the back of a solid start (the Bangalore test being an exception) Link to comment
Sachinism
VVS for sure played with serious amount of ease Link to comment
SachDan
VVS innings was the better one stroke play wise God's innings was more purposeful and made sure that Aussies don't get trash us. Link to comment
