Anakin
Hogg went up to Tendulkar to sign the ball that he dismissed SRT with. SRT while signing wittingly said "this is the last time you got me out" ;)They were talking about it too :haha::haha: Link to comment
Ram
Its strange the way the Indians have treated Hogg this series. Its almost as though they feel insulted that he's even there, bowling at them and therefore feel this uncontrollable urge to hit him out of the attack. I sense a lot of impatience in our approach towards him, especially from Sachin. Sachin would consider himself lucky for not having got out to Hogg early in his innings. Many of his cuts landed just short of the point fielder. Link to comment

Hogg is somewhat like MacGill, virtually every over has 1 4 ball interspersed with once good ball. Luckily for him some of ours batsman havent really gotten stuck into him like I think we could have. The Outsider
I hope Sehwag lasts long enough to play Hogg in the second innings. That will be a fitting farewell for Hogg from test cricket. Link to comment
Anakin
When you play aggressively you need little bit of luck on your side, but don't forget SRT never really got beaten by Hogg so far in the whole series. It's a calculated assault on Hogg to put more pressure on Ponting and so far SRT's been severe on him. I'm disappointed by SCG though, he should have Hogg for breakfast but has got out to him 4 times I think so far. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
SRT's slog sweep is a new shot added to his shot list vs the spinners. He hardly played slog sweeps earlier in his career. Link to comment
Anakin
He played slog sweeps against Warne few times. But doesn't play it as often as some other batsmen like KP or Hayden, these guys have the advantage of height and thus reach to play that shot more effectively. Link to comment
Sachinism
India (rightly) believe Hogg is useless, he shouldnt be bowling to them. so they are out to prove that to everyone Link to comment
ludhianvi
really enjoyed Tendulkar taking it to the spinners. Link to comment
suraj
but some how Ganguly always gets out against Hogg what a ghatiya batsman to get out against such a sub standard bowler Link to comment
maaki
Hogg is a really really good bowler.. Diff is Tendulkar is reading him well.. Otherwise he has troubled one and all Indian batsmen... Hogg is a mediocre bowler who is accorded too much respect in the short form of the game. Tendulkar is simply treating him with the disdain that a genius has for a bowler like him. Link to comment
Gambit
What is really perplexing is Gangs' troubles v Hogg. This guy used to treat SLAs like dirt but Hogg's got him 4-5 times in this series. Link to comment

Good point, Gambo. The reason of course, is that the 35 year old Ganguly has lost a bit of the fleet-footedness that was his greatest asset against the spinners in his younger days. After being caught at the crease twice (bowled and LBW), he tried to come down the track like he used to in the days of yore and hit Hogg out of the ground, but couldn't get to the pitch of the ball, and was out caught at mid-off. So today, he was trying another ploy, to sweep him, a stroke he has never particularly been good at, and promptly paid for it. Link to comment
Shehezaada
After declaring that Hogg will never get him again on an autographed picture, Tendulkar has demolished Hogg on his own home soil: 49 off 70 in this Test Match: including 5 boundaries and one six 30 off 25 in 1st Test Match: including 3 boundaries and one six A total of 79 runs off 95 deliveries for a S/R of 83 without being dismissed. 8 boundaries, two sixes for a total of 44 runs in boundaries. Fantastic aggression after he tamed Monty in England as well. Who says Tendulkar can't play left arm spin? 54 runs from 53 balls in this test match: 2 boundaries, 2 sixes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 133 runs from 148 balls, S/R of 90, 10 boundaries ,4 sixes. No dismissals Link to comment

Dhondy
Seventy seven off 75 deliveries bowled by the spinners today, 47 off 97 bowled by the quicks. Classical Tendulkar, picking and choosing his targets. He won't want to get out tomorrow. He'll want to fill his boots, knowing there ain't that many big innings left in the tank, and that this will be just about the last time he'll bat in a Test match on Aussie soil. The tailenders, and Dhoni is one of them to be honest in this series, need to support him. Sometimes batting for Tendulkar is synonymous with batting for India, as us fans would attest.
