About ur ques who is more attacking well without a doubt its ashwin. U dnt get a stamp of being an attacking bowler by just being a leg spinner or a wrist spinner. Attacking bowler is the one who looks for wkts not to save runs. Eg quoted above how mishra was even scared to take a slip when a struggling taylor was batting. On the contrary ashwin has never felt and criticized in open of being used him as a defensive bowler. Definately leg spinner are considered an asset but doesnt mean evert leg spinner is good. Mostly u have seen him against Zimb, wi and now Nz who was batting like they have been defeated in their heads. Now this is our bowler against a good side like on good pitches- 2015-2016 India v. South Africa 40 1 218 4 0 2/47 54.50 60.00 5.45 4 matches 2 wkts........story changes when quality of opp changes Something that has helped his stats immesnly, 2013-2014 Zimbabwe v. India 47.3 2 209 18 2 6/48 11.61 15.83 4.40 Now if i mix these two series only and make stats out of it, he ll have 20 wkts in 9 games and all of sudden he looks a brilliant bowler. Eco, avg, S/r everything changes. Yes if there is a hint of turn u can think of including, but when turn on offer even jadeja runs ahead of him. Give jadeja some turn and we have seen wht he can do. My point is there is no reason to be even excited with his perfomance, as story would be diff overseas. The guy also doesnt have much of a future. The average scoring rate for SA in those matches was 6.4. All bowlers got hammered then, so why single out just Mishra. Look at Jadeja's records in ODIs and T20s. Even on a turning wicket in the World T20 vs NZ he could not make much impact when Satner of all people got 4 for 11 against us. If you really think that Jadeja is a more attacking bowler in LOIs than Mishra, then well I am a bit speechless. We are not talking about Tests here, just LOIs. Jadeja is a vastly different bowler in Tests at home.
