If Johnson, starc and hazelwood are considered great bowlers then shami is just as good if not better. Period.

Shami is a mother *ing ATG in Asia.

He averages 20 on flat pattas of India. Only McGrath is close on such wickets along with Marshall.

He is very good in Australia and south africa as well.

He only struggled in England and kiwiland.

They are not great bowlers. But Johnson's bowling in Ashes and South Africa in 2013/14 is something which Shami hasn't produced.

Even in Australia, Shami has feasted and inflated his stats by bashing minnow batting lineups. Siraj is better prospect.

Shami has been an inferior test bowler in last 5 years to Ashwin, Bumrah and Ishant. Basically, Shami is Neil Wagner and Morne Morkel level test bowler, good support bowler but hardly memorable test performances.

no he hasnt. shami is a legend in asian conditions. he destroyed all kinds of attacks. one off fluke performance by mitch doesnt make him better than shami. shami defecates on him anywhere in asia. mitchell was only better in australia. even in s.africa their records are retty similar.
