I want 3 test series with them especially after misbah younis retire
love to crush them 3-0 and head to head record even stevens

Might take another 5 years or so - their batting cupboard is kinda bare, so the oldies will keep playing forever.

On UAE-like tracks, Pak has sufficient batting talent. I don't know how they have done on raging turners, since they never prepare them. And on other non-SC pitches, most of their batsmen have failed.

Top order would maybe rise to the occasion with the 40+ brigade (Misbah, Younis) providing the necessary heft, but India's lower order batting strength would outperform Pak easily with the bat.  India's batting wouldn't keel over so easily against the one-man spin army that Pak has - Apart from Yasir, their spin cupboard is quite bare.  Some of the young guys might step up, but that doesn't happen overnight.

Too bad.  It could really be as box-office as this England series has been.  But as much as I would have enjoyed the cricket, am fully behind not giving PCB a $100mm gift - Pak needs to realize that they can't be killing Indians with "non-state actors" while expecting business as usual in other spheres.

Once Misbah goes, not just his batting but also captaincy can fall into shambles.

Its interesting how fan culture looks at batting and bowling on either side of the border - pak fans tend to emphasize averages and stats when evaluating batsmen, and will use numbers based arguments to justify their biased false equivalences.  Tend to overlook the gulf in technical proficiency, pure batting class etc -  On the bowling side, we often see the opposite.  More Indian fans tend to focus on metrics - wickets, average, strike rate, "KPH" etc instead of how well the bowler is actually bowling etc.

yeah but their fast bowling is not the same anymore barring amir yasir , we can match them with shami and ash now
batting has always given us the edge over them historically

I think on flat tracks, their pacers would be bit more effective than ours.  Yeah, Shami is very good, and Yadav has improved.  But past Shami, their pacers would be slightly better.  The gap is not that big - that's for sure.  And our pacers trendline is looking upwards as well.

Yasir should be fine, but these are early days for Azam. Umar Akmal had an excellent start to his Test career - scored around 170 runs (over 2 innings) in debut Tests in difficult conditions. Look where he is now. Esp in Pak, many players do not deliver on initial promise. Shehzad is another.

This is what separates young Indian bats from their Pak counterparts and vice versa on the pace bowling front.  The little lessons of how to pace your innings, the batting nous, slight technical adjustments - the guidance is missing for the Pak bats as they come up through the system and early on in their careers.  That's why they fade after bright starts - Once opponents figure them out a bit, they struggle to make those adjustments required quickly enough to maintain consistency.

Same story with the Indian quicks - so many young bowlers come in, get us excited with a bit of potential, but are just unable to take that next step into consistent wicket-taking performances over multiple seasons.  I'm really hoping Shami is able to break that trend.

Definitely.  That's why I feel they would not be able to be as competitive against us at the moment as England have been.

Yes, story of both teams so far.

true but whatever potential batting star they have is babar and haris sohail who is injured
if they dont develop then their batting will go down to level of SL bang

SL has Kusal Mendis and D de Silva. I rate Mendis more than Babar at the moment - played well in Eng, and scored a wonderful knock at home.

would have been extremely sattisfying to white wash them...wish the series happens next time

Lot of people believe 9/11 was a conspiracy - Ch**tiyo ki fauj main kami nahi - doesn't have anything to do with reality.
