Vijay is similar too...I totally agree with his cricinfo profile description.....When in flow,he is pretty elegant but can make a flat pitch look like a minefield when he is out of touch.

Even SRT or VVS or Kohli or Yuvraj Singh - when out of form, normally stylish players, they look inelegant.

Never seen srt struggle...eve during his final days...yes he flopped but never saw too many scratchy innings except the 100 100 one but that was for a different reason
