I think lap sweep can be played on this shot, plus you can take two steps ahead and knock it towards mid on.

That is a pretty decent height.

Knowing Rohit, I think he would have played that shot to this delivery and might have even gotten runs as he likes sweeping regardless of the format. Kohli, as pointed above by some poster, could have actually played on mid on region

The thing with lap shot is it is very effective on pitches with bounce.
